One of my favourite garden blossoms is flowering right now at my back door. It is called Viburnum plicatum 'Snowball' or more commonly just The Snowball Bush
This illustrates that not all background shapes need to be in bokeh. Those dark green leaves on the left, against the near=black background, have such clarity and unique shapes that my eye is drawn to them immediately after the blossom. The steps of dimensional focus is so good across the three main elements here, 1) the Snowball, 2) the sharp leaves on the left, and 3) the near-bokeh of the snowball and leaves on the right, each one is a large piece of the whole image, allowing the wide border (which some "sticks-in-the-mud" might whine about) and the beveled treatment you've given it, appear like a matted frame, and work perfectly as the 4th element. Excellent, Lyn.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
