We do not see many proper haystacks these days. Usually just round bales, some covered in plastic which it not very attractive. I spotted this one atop a hill last week so stopped and zoomed in on it. Notice how yellow the grass is - that is a result of the drought which was officially declared in our area yesterday. Looks like this farmer has plenty of winter feed but many have been unable to grow enough feed for the winter.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

Good one Lyn, and with the drought it will bring higher prices, and hardship for the farmers. I hate to see the large white wrapped round bales, so ugly! tigs=^..^=

I thought it was straw at first LE. They still do a few square bales in our area. Mostly for inside feeding. Also for horses.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
