This scene is painted on the exterior wall of a restaurant in the city of Dunedin, NZ and has been there for many years. I took this when visiting the restaurant a few weeks ago. The thin branches of the tree are actually growing - from a vine round the corner. I was disappointed there were no leaves on it. We were back in the city today and the beginnings of the green leaves could be seen so soon it will again look like a proper tree. I did not get out of the car to take another shot because of the rain which is causing havoc in many parts of the country. This city had a months worth of rain in one hour. Schools closed, houses damaged and people evacuated and its still raining ! Yesterday was 36degreesC but we were warned of the change.
