Cyclone Gita has battered parts of our country.
I got a good soaking down at the harbour today but it was worth it to be part of the wild and wonderful weather and seas. Without the protecting breakwater these fishing boats would not have stood a chance of surviving. I used my Panasonic TZ60 because I needed a camera I could protect from the rain somewhat with my hand.

This is excellent, shows us very well how the breakwater does is work. Such power in the waves, and yet the boats sit idle. tigs=^..^=

What a display of nature and contrast in the action of the water on the one side and the calmness of the boats on the other side...great shot, Lyn...thanks for getting soaked for us, lol.

Very nice shot with that spray springing high and the boats in the calm harbour.

I am very impressed with the clarity you have achieved with this scene. This is dramatic and captured perfectly. Bravo.

This has to be one of the best visual interpretations of "safe haven" I've ever seen. I'm amazed at how calm the water is inside the breakwater wall truly is; I can see the heavy waves coming in between the wall and the pier on the left. Your low angle and excellent DOF really brings the image alive. Great catch, Lyn, and thanks for being hardy enough to hang in out there. S&F.
