Lyn, may I play with this? I like the idea of what you've done, but it feels not quite finished to me and I'd love to play with some variations on the concept.

I think if you had brought your border in a little more, to eliminate those obvious natural ends of the petals, or pulled out a little to include all the natural ends (or perhaps blackened everything beyond the petals), it may have worked better... somewhat. Whatever the case, I think it looks very nice, indeed.
