A recent visit to the Moeraki Boulders. I have boosted the colours a bit to resemble how I remember it on that afternoon.
The image is deceiving. It was very cold, windy and raining. The tide was high and it was unusual to see some of the larger boulders just peeping above the water.
A bracing beach walk indeed and not a day for removing shoes :).

When I see these boulders I always wonder how long it took to get such smooth and round shape. Nice colors and good work Lyn.

The color layers are striking, and make a wonderful contrast, and adds to the mood of this one Lyn. I like that some of the boulders are submerged, seems to add even more a mood to it, well done.

I guess I don't mind the color enhancement, although the bright green water on the right does look like a nasty algal bloom. I sure would love to see these boulders in person, along with many sites in New Zealand and Australia. A long visit there is on my bucket list but, considering the cost, rather unlikely. Dang! Ah, well, I guess I'll just have to keep vacationing vicariously, through you, Lyn.
