Geordie is a very black & white sort of dog, so black & white it is...

I agree, B&W suits Geordie perfectly. An excellent pet portrait, MJ.

The shallow focus and use of vignetting really draws attention to Geordies face and it's good to see reflections in his eyes. Good work MJ

I can just see him jumping up on my lap and licking my face. He's a gorgeous dog..and looks fantastic in black and white, which I am sure he already knows. lol. Outstanding shot.

A bit of critique required here.
I think the softness of the nose and blown out muzzle are a bit distracting. What do you lot think?

I don't think so. The eyes are the main attraction.

Thank you. Yes, the eyes are the main focus, and the nose and muzzle are "out of focus" at just the right order. There's is nothing wrong with this picture.

Geordie has beautiful eyes. I don't find the softness of the nose at all distracting - rather the opposite as it invites a pat.
There is good detail and tones in this B/W and excellent depth in the image.
I have placed it on my list for next Wednesday's additions to the B & W Challenge
( Please MJ, when you enter one could you drop me a pm to ensure I don't miss it,as I obviously did last week. Thanks)

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Thanks to everyone for saying that the photo is OK as it is.
Might still try and find him a new muzzle and nose in the future though...
