Thistle with a visitor... Have put this is in the 'Butterflies' section. Not really sure what it is to be honest, but it has to be a butterfly because it's daylight, doesn't it?

Yes, it's a butterfly, a golden skipper. Fantastic lighting and clarity on this one! I like how you capture the thistle on the diagonal. Really nice one.

As for the angle of the thistle, the Golden Skipper must be a lot heavier than it looks as the thistle was vertical before it landed...
