Oradour-sur-Glane was a village in the Limousin région of France that was destroyed on 10 June 1944, when 642 of its inhabitants — including women and children — were murdered by a German Waffen-SS company. After the war, the village of Oradour-sur-Glane was left the way it was, frozen in time. It is a memorial site to commemorate the population of the village.

Wow. That is really moving... 642 people senslessly murdered. I love how stark this picture is. Really hammers home the reality of the destruction. Well done.

Hubert, to me your images in this series are memorial documents. Telling about the terrible murder of 642 people and terrible devastation of Oradour sur Glane in 1944. Not to understand how people can come that far. Regards, Cornelius
