A wheat field in Scraptoft, near Leicester, UK. This area holds some very personal memories. But the image brings a smile to my face. This GoogleMap link shows you the exact location (map)
Were you using a wide-angle lens? I just got one myself and I've been out shooting with it this morning, trying to teach myself how to use it and to learn what it can do. I'd love to know how you got that "bird's-eye" feel to this picture!
I've been trying to get a truly great photo of wheat for a couple years now, only to discover I have to travel over 4,000 miles to do it? Dang! Oh, wait a minute... maybe it's a great shot because you're very good at using a camera? Yeah. That's probably it.
A different view of the same spot, I like the close-up here which puts the focus on the shape of the wheat going off in lots of different directions. The gold colour is very good too.
