At first I thought it was a tunnel and a train was approaching but the longer I look at it the more I realized it has to be a stone bridge and shot either very early morning or late in the day. I love all the textures in here, the repetition of shapes, the colors, and the unique character of a subject that is difficult to keep from being mundane. This is the opposite of mundane. Great eye, Mannie.
If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
Good good to 'see' you back. :o)
Now, then.. your image here..
Strong on the note of composition.
And my curiosity got peaked.. so, I downloaded your image and tried a Black & White conversion to see what was what.
Think it works well?
Given the high contrasty look and for the most part.. being devoid of a lot of colour.. seems like a natural fit to do a B & W.
Maybe a companion piece, if interested?
That said..
I like this one.
The angle, et al.. works well.
And.. but, of course..
Thanks for sharing this one with us.
