This ice road over the Lake goes to a winter resort. The ice road used to be open December to Mars but this winter it was very late in December before the road opened because the winter has been to warm.

The low fog, snow, barren trees, and peachy sky are starting to be your trademark, Mariana. This is another lovely shot.

Very tranquil image, the lone figure really adds to the mood. Cracking shot!

Seems like you have that mist a lot of the time! It's really beautiful. That's what you have when it's been too warm? I wonder what it's like when it's cold!

We still have open water up here in Northern New England, although I hear there's some pretty cold weather headed our way. I have to agree with Benroy that the person really makes this a standout photo. It's beautiful all on its own, but there's a starkness that surrounds the solitary figure.

Very nice. The guy on the road is frozen in fear as he see you and your car sliding down the hill at him. Nice work.

This is so beautiful, Mariana and that one human figure on the road makes such a difference in perspective. I would not have guessed the enormity of the surroundings had you not left that person there. Wonderful composition! Ten from me if I get a chance to vote on it.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I really like this. Gives very good perspective with the man standing there. Huge and wide open countryside! Nicely captured Mariana! *grabs his sled & heads down the hill!..yeee-haw!!* lol

A wonderful winter image, Mariana! I especially like the contrast of the streaky sky.

The colour of the sky and blue tinted snow ...There is nothing more pleasing to my eye !!!!
Forgetting the man probably in distress on the road and you, Mariana, driving towards him without braking, because brakes would not work on such surface !!! LOL

Magnificent shot Mariana. The mystic clouds rolling in and the lovely pink hues in the sky sure make this appealing. Very well done.

Glorious. Something rather medieval about the long figure on an ice-rutted road.
