Took this picture on a bridge going over a small creek. The image is supposed to be a vertical one but thought this might be more accepted as a desktop. Ill probably end up uploading a bordered version the way i want it but we will see.

I like simplistic posts, especially for desktop use in a place where there is a lot going on around on, such as an office as it is calming to have a spot for your eye to rest and reflect among the whirl of things to do and those all-important issues that need attention....yesterday.. lol :) There is something in particular in a still life that incorporates one or two subjects and leaves most of the canvass empty, but really on a second look, this is not as empty as one might expect on a cursory inspection. The image you've given us here is of such clarity that it's easy to inspect the little fissures in the near board under the subject leaf and because of the deep shadow just behind it, it transitions the eye from the sharpness of the details to the more muted and blurred as the background continues away...it reminds me of something I used to do as a child, and that is really stare at things and see shapes and textures that were there, and imagine some that weren't and this can be focused on in that exact way...or one can briefly view it, take it for what is seen in a glance and all is good..Beauty and art, once again are in the eye of the beholder..nice job :)PJ
