This guy was sitting in one place for quite awhile which allowed me to take a couple of shots. He picked a very nicely lit spot i thought.

Thank you for my desktop at work tomorrow. I like how you captured this bird in a rare moment of sleep! It's wonderful.

Great shot! The lighting is perfect (and he's not even squinting lol) I really like your DOF on this too :)

It does look like he's sunbathing with his feathers all ruffled up. You're right about the quality of light for this shot.. Sometimes magic really does happen :)

That is because he wanted to catch some nice tan I suppose, lol. Indeed the sunlit spot couldn't have been chosen better. Excellent shot.

He picked a nicely 'warm' spot too. Wonderful capture. The lighting is terrific and the image is wonderful. He does look like he might have been a bit chilly with his feathers all puffed up.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

He sure did and you did a fine job of capturing him. Lovely how he looks into the picture as well as the little splash of green. Well done and thanks for sharing.
