"To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
~ Henri Cartier-Bresson
I'm getting old, I guess. I could have sworn I commented on this earlier today, but no matter, I must have hit the wrong button. Anyway, I love the overview of this beautiful terrain and the wonderful way you have included a good deal of it into this one frame. It is such a great landscape and the blues and white are very appealing in this light.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Michael, this is a breathtaking image, not because of the cold (lol), but because you've depicted that wintery scene very well. Thans (for sharing) & regards, Cornelius
I like the multilayered composition which gives the feeling of vast open spaces. So picturesque, no wonder you decided to stop for a shot... thank you for sharing it with us.
What a wonderful vantage point you took this photo at...wow...sooooooooo much to see here. Gorgeous colours...softness overflows...and oh how I love the shadows. You did a magnificient job on this whole photo....nice stuff! Beautiful place to be too..Verena
This is actually taken from the Sheer Bliss run on Snowmass Mountain about 6 miles West of Aspen. In the forground is the Ullrhof Restaurant and in the background is the Wildcat preserve.
