Nice, great detail. Can you get a bit more of the background in focus on your camera, i.e. smaller aperture? It's almost a bit too blurred, but still a great macro.
It's possible, but phenomenally difficult handheld without upping the ISO. This was taken at ISO 100, 1/200 at f4.5. Focal length is 7mm. That was as fast as I could go given that I didn't have a tripod with me and the lighting conditions.
I'll have to take some test shots and see how much dof I can get when I'm that close. I've dug out an old sound card I want to take some macros of and it has lots of capacitors in lines. Should be a good test.
I think the perspective on this one is great, and the limited dof works well here. I suspect it might help to brighten the image up a tad in photoshop by adjusting the levels, nice job though.
