Made in Apophysis, nothing else. This is heavily modified version of my contest entry, which is was also used to make this. Look closely, it is an optical illusion.

Gorgeous! But I wouldn't have called it wormhole at all...Halo of Gold or Gold Spirit or Ring of Gold....do it more justice....its so beautiful...and yes, it sure IS an optical illusion..thats a great name too........GOLD Illusions!!

Even though the bright is way bright for me ('cause I'm old I guess. lol), the design is fantastic and you get my high votes. I love the gold. I'll just join Ben.... impressed.

This is one of my other favourites.
I like the cleanliness and orderliness of the image. And I was going to make an observation, and now, I think it is better as a question. Yes, I see the optical illusion aspect. I am wondering if you put the image off of a diagonal bisection axises of the corners, on purpose? I think the end result is that the illusion is enhanced.
Initially, I thought the symmetry would serve the image better ... now, I am not so sure.
Any comments?
If 'Energy' had this cleanliness, I would have included that particular image amongst my favs of yours, as well. But ... but, I must admit that the colours in 'Energy' are extremely captivating.
