There have been times when I'd be tempted to pick the pine needles and other debris out first, but I decided it looked more natural leaving everything as is. Playing with new zoom lens ( 70-300mm IS ) on my Canon.
Well as you might no i am fascinated with spiders and this shot is stunning.Great light nice sharp detail and composition is spot on.The colours are also beautiful and very nice frame work.

Good frame and different composition. Actually frame is successfull but maybe there is spider or different object in the frame. But also good photo. Nice work!
If I had a zoom lens like that I would be playing all day with shots. I like this close up even with the pine needles in. It makes for a more interesting shot. Spider webs catch all kinds of things! Great shot! Paul
I too am enjoying the composition. The various areas of web and branches and leaves and background float back and forth as separate elements but work very well as a group. The soft colors and lighting are also working very well here, bringing the emphasis to that point of lightest white webbing in the bottom center. The only problem I see is what I don't see... I'd really love to see it larger than 858 x 591. Thanks for sharing it with us.

The reason why the sunsets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
