This picture was taken across the bay from my house here on Orcas Island. The house hides behind the trees just above the green house on the right. The blue "tarp" is in our yard just below our driveway and is covering items for a yard sale. We were in the middle of a wind storm this day inbetween snow showers and rain! Typical Pacific Northwest late Winters! What's outside your windows? Thanks for stopping by!

This image has a mystical look to it that you managed to bring out with that misty air. I almost expect to see Merlin stepping out of the crystal cave there. How fortunate that you have it outside your window where you can work with it again and again. The foreground bird is pretty cool too. The rough water seem like they should be presenting him more difficulty than it is. I think though that I'd like to see the opposite shoreline a bit closer to the middle of the frame, so we could have to equal zones, water and land in this image. Nice job though.

Uhm, wow ... I am not sure which I am more impressed by ... this show of force by Mother Nature, or regmar's observational skills. Kidding, a little here.

I seem to recall you putting this idea forth for consideration ... "What's outside your windows?" And I must admit that the voyeur in me had it's curiosity peaked when I first read of your idea. And certainly, from the looks of it, your view outside your window surpasses mine in a camera flash. Loads of visual interest.

Although with a creative take, I suppose one could compose something of interest regardless of the setting.

As an image, you have successfully captured the strength and essence of a storm. The one, single item that distracts from this (for me) is the two poles in the left foreground. My eye gravitates to them and takes away from the imaginings such as regmars'.

Great idea. Could be ... slightly better executed. One further suggestion ... wear a lifejacket. ;)

It gives me chills! I like the idea, infact i'm inspired. Not sure about putting on my desktop just yet. Let me sleep on it.

Good shot ; )
