The sun setting over Lake Burley-Griffin in Canberra, Australia. Hand held and rushed (I was at work at the time.) so it's a miracle I got anything worth sharing. I have intensified the colours but it's still pretty close to what I actually saw and I'm pretty sure I cropped it as well, this was taken four or five months ago so the details are a bit of a blur now. Taken while I was still learning my Powershot S3IS, who am I kidding, I'm still learning it. lol. I have a few others from this evening which will probably turn up here at some point. Mikel.

Thank you Sir,
I have a thing about light on water but in the past I've lacked the equipment and focus to do much with it. This is one of the first photos in which I was happy with the way the water and light interacted. There is a bit of noise in some parts of the water, lowlight and handheld made that inevitable, but overall I liked how it came out. Glad you did too! :)

This is so gorgeous! Love it the only suggestion i would like to make is there is noise in picture. Maybe using a noise removal would have made this one even better than what it is already. Neat image and noise ninja are some noise removal programs. >< ♫ :)sandi ♪ ♫

Fantastic photo. I've taken some sunset photos as my house faces due west. I thought mine were quite good but yours is wonderful.

Try downloading the free demo version of Neat Image. It really can make a huge difference to hurried night/twilight shots as I have found since I uploaded some night shots of Liverpool.

This pic is superb. I was looking through your gallery and this one just stood out for me... maybe its because I love sunsets, or just that I am really trying to get to grips with PS to make every sunset look a little more like I remember it. Any chance you can share the technique? curves? Filters? Thanks and keep up the good work.
