Early one Sunday morning a couple of balloons were up but not quite away. I could hear the roaring of the gas burner as I was driving the taxi thru the parliamentary precincts. The roar was loud and constant, I wondered why. It turned out that for some reason this balloon could just not get UP. So it was skimming trees and buildings. Amazingly (After sixteen hours driving the taxi already.) I worked out that it would possibly skim the Old Parliament House and that might make a different shot. It did and here is the result and I think it did. :) Only basic work was required, crop, touch of saturation, sharpening.

Enjoy.

Mikel.

well done at predicting where you could capture this balloon in a perfect setting! It worked! it is an excellent shot with the balloon reflecting in the water!

Well, if it's full of hot air, its next stop has got to be Washington, DC !! LOL

Gorgeous shot, Mikel! Just splendid. Of course you know if this was the scenario in Washington, D.C., those balloons would have been shot down! No j/k.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes
