Actually named Dights Falls on the Yarra River in Melbourne, Australia. (Just on Trenerry Crescent before it goes under the Eastern Freeway.) Whatever purpose this extrusion once served now it evokes for me a gargoyle in one hell of a rain storm! :) Larger context shot coming next. If you wonder how the water can be so smooth and the rocks and such so sharp the answer is simple, a $600 tripod for rocklike solidity and a remote control to fire the long exposure without touching the camera. (And no wind.) I use nd filters to get the long exposures.

Enjoy.

Mikel.

Have to close my eyes Mikel, as the water is splashing in them, lol. Very realistic image, captured very well.

An absolutely perfect shot. I feel like I could just reach my hand under that water. And the rocks add much to the over all mood. I can see your gargoyle!

Amazing shot, Mikel. Wow, $600 tripod! It's funny because I was just thinking that I really need to upgrade my tripod. You just confirmed it. Thanks!

Outstanding action shot, Mikel! The clarity on the rocks and the rush of the water is so very exhilarating just to look at! I can only imagine the rush of being there! I too, see the gargoyle... good eye!

Glad you added the setup details. With shots like this one, makes me wonder what's in your mind to upgrade next?
