Following your logic of a few days ago, I'll guess that this was a sunset rather than a sunrise because of the fiery colors. Normally I'd say that there is too much sky, but the sky is beautifully captured and very dramatic; so forget that I ever mentioned it. Splendid post photo work to make this look so smooth, tranquil and dreamlike. The trunk in the foreground creates a terrific sense of depth. Is that a two headed woman on the right?

So beautiful. A shame to lose it to a bunch of houses. Not very realistic, but sure would be nice if each home had this view.

Hi Mikel,
Thank you for your recent comments, much appreciated. But really I don't have any secrets to pass on. When I'm out I look for my favourite particular themes: dereliction, architecture, weird juxtaposition (although I rarely find it) and people in context.
As regard dereliction my approach is usually reportage, with architecture I look for strong geometry, symmetry and perspective. The rest is down to luck and being in the right place at the right time. I've been fortunate with my job which allowed me to travel extensively, having said that I've missed more opportunities than I've captured.
Regards,
Ray
PS. I love this shot by the way.
