This is a photo of the fire at my friend's house. The weather called for snow today in North Carolina (just a couple of days I posted Winter Bloom. Ironic?) and his mom invited us over. I've posted a lot of the other elements (air, water, wood, no earth yet) so it's about time I have a fire one. Enjoy all its fiery glory!

Hello Jordan.
I saw your post in the 'Comment Request'.
The colors seem to be oversaturated. Did you edit something?

Well done for being so alert for photo opportunities. The focus on the grating is just right, but I have to agree with the previous respondent that the colours are over-developed. I'd also like to see the relevance of the title demonstrated a little more overtly: fire is immediately apparent, but the connection with war could be communicated more clearly.

I much appreciate all the comments I receive about my images, but please excuse me if I don't always reply. My interest in Caedes is exceeding my time available!

The grate forms a good frame element that echoes the arcing flames. I do like the shapes you brought out here. I agree with ppigeon about the over-saturation. You might experiment with desaturating the image to reinforce the accent on the shapes in the tongues of flame. I also don't understand the connection with war.

Interesting and thought-provoking submission.
