Excellent work you two. How you got the flame to appear is if it is embracing your jewel is tops in my book. The use of the charcoal background with the slight shadow, really make it pop all the more. Very high marks on this one. You certaily got my attention here. :o)
I always try to balance the light with the heavy - a few tears of human spirit in with the sequins and the fringes ~

While I was busy giving this a high mark in the voting booth, I didn't happen to notice the charcoal background as CurtieBear pointed out. But as I look at it, I see that if you had used black it would have swallowed up the darkest features in the jewel. It's certainly saved on my hard drive..excellent job.
Fantastic Kevin... i love the background it really makes the image jump out... and the jewel is perfect... you've combined the 2 perfectly.... A beautiful gift to the beautiful Andra... =)
