Was the soft focus intentional, or an overlooked detail? Also, such an low, wide crop (IMO) doesn't quite feel right. Perhaps a bit cramped..?

I would say it is an overlooked detail. Still learning

This photo isn't cropped in any way. This photo was taken from my JVC GY-HM100 video camera that took pictures in 1920x1080 High def size so its wide because of that setting.

Is there a better ratio I should use for picture taking?
