2006 December 30th. Took this shot from a tree, a spruce, about 25 meters height. Very wonderful view from the top.

Well, full marks for bravery, that's for sure! And what a wonderful view. I'm not sure whether you intended the horizon to be tilted or not - perhaps it's an artifact of hanging on for dear life! - but generally speaking I think panoramas such as this are better with the horizon as Nature intended it. I think the image could also do with a little contrast adjustment. Both of these are easily done with Photoshop. The image is also not very sharp: if this is due to hanging on as the treetop waves around, then it's perfectly understandable! However, the riverbanks and etc would look better with a little sharpness tweaking. I DO like the way you have left several branches of your temporary abode included in the shot; it gives a good sense of distance and scale and it adds interest. Overall a pretty good shot. Eiffel Tower next?

I think this is a pretty good shot considering his trying not to think about his choice of perches for the shot. I have done a couple of shoots as or more crazy than this. What we do for the shot. I will try and find them for upload.

I have some "top of the mountain" pictures I just might put up myself. This is very nice shot and climbing is great aerobic activity!

What a view! Had me cringing just htinking about how high that is :P (not a fan of heights). Good job overall, may have been a little nicer with a straight horizon, but I can completely understand not being able to get that "perfect" shot while hanging onto the top of a tree! Thanks for sharing.
