All of earth is crammed with heaven And every bush aflame with God But only those who see take off their shoes. - Elizabeth Barrett Browning<p>

The perspective of this is nice, but I think the overall image could use some effects to liven up the excess of black area in the border area. There are a number of things that you can use to do that.
1) Enlarge the image and ghost it around the edges of the shot.
2) Reduce the shot a little so that it can have a little black border above and/or below, which would make it more of an added effect rather than a forced area to fit the desktop ratio.
3) Create some thin borders along the sides of the shot to give it more "framing" within the black borders.
4) Keep looking for other methods… I've checked out the rest of your gallery, and you've got a good eye. I'm sure you can find another solution. 8•)
In addition to Cat's suggestion, I would say this would be more appealing if you hadn't centered the tree like that (rule of thirds etc...). Still a nice image though.
