It is rare to see such photos, especially in so public a domain. This is an excellent specimen of a easily spoiled area of photography. Top class work.

I used to experiment like this, pre-digital days, and noticed that if the shot includes the North Star (Polaris), you can tell that it is not truly stationary -- that is, that the Earth's north pole doesn't point directly at it, but just a little bit off. None of my shots turned out as well as yours, so I'm especially appreciative that you are sharing it with us.

A superb capture of this star trail. When I first saw this I thought it was an abstract. The trail has beautiful colors with the greens, blues and yellow. Makes a great desktop view, and has good clarity. Super job Otus :*>
