Nice job of playing with focus as far as angel versus tree?, the angel really blurs for me :( but I feel this was your intention. So in this matter of learning about camera and the focus areas in which your camera functions I give you an A.

Definitely an interesting play of focus. I might have faded the background a little more, to give it a slightly more mysterious feel - but the focus I think achieves what it was meant to. :)

Very interesting. I think that the tree to the left and right certainly adds to the photo. The angel certainly looks great!

nifty idea with the focusing, although it almost seems too far...maybe blur out the tree on the left side of the picture a little more so your eye doesn't immediately jump to it.

i like the idea that this gives off that you don't quite know whats going on in the distance though

i love it when people mess with focus in unexpected ways because that seems to be an area i can never be happy w/ in my own images
