My favourite period in art history is Art Deco because I love the beautiful curves and right-angles that are so prevalent of this style. Before I took up watercolouring a couple of years ago, I was partial to the numerous shades of gray that could be achieved with graphite pencils. This graphite example is a bronze statue I saw on display at an Art Deco exhibition. Wish I'd made a note of the sculptor's name - and if you know it, would you please tell me?

Anne-Marie, this delicate and subtle image looks so much as a glass figure, specifically when viewed in small size ! I like Art Deco too very much. Thanks for sharing and congratulations, dear friend.

I agree, I thought it was glass. The lighting and shawdows are nice. Great work.

Did you do the graphite artwork? That's incredible! The proportions are fine at this aspect ratio; I tried swapping the dimensions and ended up with a figurine so tall and skinny it wasn't near-realistic. Very nicely done!

I too love the Art Deco era. A wonderful statue here. Love the grey shade. The statue has a lovely flow to it. Nice wallpaper too. This was a nice change from the usual images, tho they're all lovely too :) 10s for this beauty!

You do not need a knife to draw blood a pencil and paper work just as well. RvdB (Warhead)
