Many years ago here in England, a heavy tax was levied on anyone using glass in their windows. I guess the owner of this old window couldn't afford to pay it!

Wonderful Texture of those stones Anne-Marie.....I believe the 'TAX' is still with us! coz hardly any-one can afford glazing these days...................

Or was he trying to keep peepers out of hsi windows? Or maybe he was hiding whatever went on behind those cold stone walls. I agree, the textures are marvelous. I'd love to see the whole building. anne :-)
