This really needs to be seen full screen... While walking through the oldest, darkest part of our local cemetary today, my little dog found this cherub buried among the undergrowth. I cleaned her up, pointed her towards the sun and stars and hope she'll continue studying her flowers for another century or two.

What a wonderful post and now you have your little companion finding shots for you what could be better than that! Lol. I really like the contrast of her against the background she really stands out so nicely. Good for you Anne-Marie to clean her up and make her stand proud again. > ♥:)Tigs♥

Interesting. I would have thought that this was a grave marker, but if it was in the undergrowth and loose? who knows? It looks super.

PJ, I'm sure you're right - this statue was probably a gravemarker, so I stood her on the nearest grave, which also happened to have a little fence around it.

Such a sweet little angel, and on Easter too! I'm so glad you found her. Kind of symbolic of Spring also: Out of the dark comes light and flowers.

What a lovely find. I wonder what happened to her to start with. Now she can begin anew at what ever she was supposed to be doing there thanks to your concern and care.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

This is very beautiful Anne-Marie, you have presented it perfectly. I have not yet viewed the full size as each one is taking an age to load but will come back for another look when things speed up a bit.

A wonderful treasure your lil dog found. A captivating sweet angel with fine details. The sun is shining on her and showing us her beauty. She's lovely against the dark background. I hope she and her flowers bring more peace to that cemetery. A lovely image, and thanks Ann-Marie :)
