I watched with amusement as my neighbour stroked her 30-year-old koi-carp in the garden pond. They swam over to her for scraps of fish-food but seemed happiest just being caressed along their spines.

Well that was definitely worth taking a shot of, indeed! They look well cared for and fed and she must really love them, but they aren't too cuddly. Thanks for this wonderful shot. I might not have believed it otherwise. lol

Hello Ann-Marie! How wonderful to hear from you and see something by you, it's been sooooo long. Am I allowed to say that I'm glad you got the r and the a round the right way in the title? What a fun shot this is, I've never seen anything like it. Great to have you back.

I had a few misgivings too about the title!..he he!...Just me and my naughty mind eh!...

Such a while since a post from you sweetheart!...and a beauty too, those fish are 'BIG'!...

what are they like with a salad?...'Ho-Hum'...

Are they like stroking a dog?..

Lots of colour in this..wonderful composition too!

Great photo Anne-Marie and great to see you too.
The colours in this are lovely and it is quite unique. The look very well cared for. I had no idea they lived that long - 30 years - amazing.
