I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

This is outstanding Pat. I did not know a 200mm zoom lens could take such a perfect close up of a flower. You sure proved me wrong. Congrats on the high c-index and first place in the new images catagory.
Excellent macro shot. Please tell me you used a tripod or I'm going to pawn the camera again. Beautiful job and just stunning work. Thanks for sharing.
This is gorgeous Pat. Wouldn't want to fall on it either...The thorns look wicked. The colours are very pleasing and this is an outstanding capture. :)
Whoa baby...look at that thistle. Never saw one look that purdy before :) And that c-index....right through the roof! Hope it holds for you Pat. This image deserves every bit of it. The detail is breathtaking here as well as the color and the clarity and of course, the highest of quality! Thank you so much for sharing this with me....
I have never seen a thug look quite this good before either ...lol
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

Would there be room for another comment? Let's hear it for the purple and green...I love thistles...I would like you to take a picture of this little gem in late fall...whenever it turns brown...the plant is in perfect condition...it is a "beastly beauty! Clear and crisp image...beautiful background that enhances and does not distract, and this guy needs a friend...pick me! Bill.
