Well Pat I have to agree with you on this, it does look like a oil painting of this really unique scene. Do you know what that buildig was used for? Really enjoying your Texas trip and looking forward to more.
A nice country scene Pat. I agree that it looks like a painting, I like the fence in the foreground and the building that's framed by the trees. Great post
Hey Pat, that has to be one of the most photo worthy fences I've ever seen! I'm glad you captured it and shared it. As conservation and that kind of thing has become more and more politically advantageous we see the same kind of thing appearing all over Australia. (I'm glad to report.) Lots of tiny "Nature Reserves" or "Parks" or "Who The Hell Knows What It Is But You Better Leave It The Hell Alone For Perpetuity." You drive in but often don't really know what it is this little bit of nature is being saved for. The more bits saved the better I reckon. :) I don't need to understand it to think it's important to preserve.
Mikel.
It would make a lovely painting now that you mention. I love the split rail fence and the glimpse of the old barn beyond. There's something 'frontier' about the scene that makes me think of the 1800's.
