Never seen such vertical height with these flowers. Immediately caught my eye in and amongst the new images.
Really like your composition here, Pat. Very nice visual dynamics ... lines, shapes, et al and their respective placement of ... within frame.
I think ... which is not my strong suit ... that you must have cropped the original image. (Given the resolution size(s) available to us.)
Caveats?
Suggestion, really.
Something about that one bloom to be in the upper left hand corner that slightly interrupts the 'flow' mentioned above.
Perhaps, some creative vignetting to relegate it more so to the background? As in, create a swath in the upper left and then, that of the bottom right for balance?
And in turn, et voila ... some 'framing' element is introduced as well.
That said, you and your camera did a fine job on the technical front. With the end result to us, your viewers, of a very good image.
And for your creative and photographic efforts ... thank you for sharing this one with us. :o)
“Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.”
Pat - In thumbnail, this photo caught my eye. Viewed full size - it is beautiful. The focus on the full bloom in detail and lighting is perfect. Kudos! Thad
I saw this in New Imagaes and was immediately attracted to it. They are standing tall and strong like soldiers and yet retain a beautiful mellow softness. Excellent photography Pat - faved.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Phenomenal shot! I saw this in the voting both and had to comment. The colors are wonderfully soft, the clarity is top notch, and the composition is very well balanced.
Your composition, focus and variety are great, colors are as soft and delicate as the subject. My only minor caveat would be the hard fringing around the open blossum is somewhat distracting to me. Still, a KEEPAH.
