Almost everyone I talk to are happy to see the back of 2011.. it has been a bad year for many.. the worst for me were the floods that hit here.. it us not only emotionally but financially.. the best was how strangers helped each other to get everyone back on their feet... roll on 2012 hope it's a better year..

Pat, this is an amazing sky capture, beautiful! I'm so glad the eye surgery gone wrong was corrected. Best thing for me was taking early retirement, worst thing is seeing my mom dealing with old age. I wish you the best in the coming year.

Pat I couldn't agree more about 2011 - Worst - mutiple medical issues for both of us - Best - we're both doing better! This is a knockout of a sunset and I hope 2012 is a knockout of a year for you in the good sense!

Amazingly Beautiful Momma!!! Worst thing for me was not spending Christmas with my son Logun...he was at Lackland AFB in Texas going through basic training. Best thing was God let me live another year to be with my family and loved ones:) I hope you have a very Happy and Prosperous New Year as well as every one here at Caedes:)

The best thing that happened to me in 2011 was a reunion with 7 wonderful friends, the worst has been the ongoing earthquakes (in the middle of a new swarm at present - terrifying) and the saddest personal thing was the loss off a dear cousin just 3 days ago.

I am so glad your eyes are OK,Pat.Thank you for this Gorgeous photo.The best for me,my hubby could keep his job.45 were dismissed, but he could stay.The worst is my oldest son, he is now quite alcoholic,and he is homeless too. And everything is so hopeless.We can not do anything.

I always used to think (and still do) that sunsets were all different so that the great ones stood out from the mediocre ones and this is a great one. I love the swirling clouds and the intense colors. Love it. (although it looks like you've got a dust spot in the top right)
