Yeah paul it is very nice. Your dog stayed perfectly still in the right position and I definitely know how hard that can be for a dog. He looks so sweet too. Such an adorable description, and he would be a handsome dog to me if I was a dog. A man's best-friend is what this picture shows too. I don't see anything I can critic on this, except I can say good job>Keep up the excellent shots. ~FLAMES~
Thank you all for your enthousiasm and interest. My dog is named Simba (after the Lion King indeed) and is a Cairn Terrier of 9 months. He is in puberty and his hormons are racing through his veins. I have two kids (2 and 4) years and this dog is their best friend. I sometimes have to protect this rugged dog against my children, for he wont hurt them even if they try to sit on top of him or strangle'him.
But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile.
Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.
This is an absolutly beautiful image. Looks like a old album cover or movie poster. I give it a 10 for sure. Great composition. clarity and color.

Couldn't ask for a better shot ... color, composition, subject, weather ... oh, wait ... i spotted something ... his dog tag is turned around .... RE-SHOOT please
I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings:
And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill.
That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes.
We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not.
Yet so the universe was wrought .
Thought is another name for fate.
Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
I am in the same boat as vicvog. I must have taken a billion photos (at least) of my Beagle Jasmine but I still don't have one yet that I feel truly shows her character. Oh well I'll keep trying! This photo seems to portray your best friend very well. He has that intent look on his face dogs always get when they think they see something that warrants their attention. It is also a very well composed shot and the color palette works really well. I noticed what I think is his leash hanging down there, did you have him restrained so that you could take this? (my dog cannot be released in any open space as she is too independant and free spirited. Badly trained in other words :-) One last thing, I appreciate the extra bit of info you gave about your dog with the kids. That sums up why we love them so. I'll try to remember that next time my Jasmine does something to annoy me :-)
It's me again. Just saw this on the home page again and I want you to know that this is one of the best pet images that I've ever seen. I love this style and composition. Absolutely wonderful image of your little friend.

Very nice. I love the sharpness of the image and the colors. Your dog is adorable, I love Cairn Terriers, and this image is a beautiful shot of one. Thank you so much again for letting me post that image of mine that used your Vaux le Vicomte image. :)
Bravo and well done! I wanted to say how much I like the composition, the color, and the natural feel that I see when looking at your photo. But what I like the most is the way you have captured those dark and intelligent eyes of the subject. Its a wonderful photo, one that might have been alittle hard to share ;) but I'm glad you did---tim

Girl, i need you in my life

Girl, i need you to see
that you can be with me
come ride wit a mc
Girl i been goin through some hardtimes
without you i don't think i can write rhymes
i should have paid more attention to the signs
back when life was good and you were mine
