I'm not sure if i like this or the lion better. This one is definitly very well down. The extreme close-up definitly makes this shot. You captured great expression on his face. Keep up the good work.
"A piece of toast with butter always lands butter side down, and a cat always lands on its feet. What happens if a piece of toast is tied butter side down to the back of a cat? Does it perpetually hover above the ground in indecision when dropped?"
Oh sweet! These animals are wonderful. And like I said, i like NOT seeing the cages...makes it much nicer to look at and to love...I love the lion best so far..keep em coming paul!
Going barefoot is the gentlest way of walking, and can symbolize a way of living. It's the feeling of enjoyment beneath our toes...it removes the barrier between us and nature...(AdeleCoombs,Barefoot

Aw, this is such a wonderful shot. His/her expression is so soft and pensive. Rob and I were at a zoo today feeding peanuts to a variety of smaller monkeys and baboons - just a coincidence. Anyway, reeally reeally nice.
when I was a kid we used to go to the zoo .. they had a big old chimp named teddy .. my brother threw a peanut to him and it bounced off the cage bars and didn't go in .. so, without thinking, he leaned over the railing to grab it back ... and quick as lighting, the lethargic prankster grabbed hold of his hair ... he's still there, my brother I mean
Aww he looks like a philosopher. Such a deep thinking pose, and the most amazing eyes. I am so in love with this guy and would love to know what was going on in his head. This is going right into my faves.
