I don't know the name of this bird, only that it was about 3 feet high and it liked bathing. I caught him in the act and froze him in this water bubble. Amazing, don't you think?

Looks like some kind of stork to me. the stop action of the water bubble is fabulous, and lots of details too. exelent photo. :)

Excellent capture, Paul, that's quite a funnel of water he's made with his beak. I don't know the species, but I'm sure with the wonderful detail you got, someone will be able to identify the bird. Well done!

wow wat een fabuleuze momentopname...volgens mij is het een soort ooievaar.
Ik heb geen idee of je al deze diertuinfoto's op 1 dag gemaakt heb..maar zo ja dan zijn je kinderen en partner aardig wat tekort gekomen die dag..omdat jij alleen maar door een lens gekeken hebt.
Ik heb trouwens nog geen 200mm gekocht.
Ben een beetje aan het rondkijken want die zijn knap duur en aangezien ik ook nog wat andere wensen en nog een vakantie tegoed heb.
Misschien binnen kort eens wat ideen spuien over een echte contest hier?
Die wat meer uitdaging bevat?...lijkt me een goed plan.
