A young child steps down the stairs of a lady who is at least 400 hundred years older and probably used hands full of anti aging creams, 'cause she still looks good. The scene is just lovely, but the light and perspective are difficult. I get down on my knees and made a fully manual composition with a fill in flash, and to my surpirise it turns out great (in my opion that is). So here it is, another attempt from me to have more "people shots" on this site. So tell me, is it worth posting images like these, or do we stick to the birds and the bees?

Great image, Paul. 10/10. But why so many explanations ? And why is human better than animals, especially in photographs ? Humans usually are not that photogenic as this young man on your photograph ... LOL

This photo says so much. Has character galore! And the little child coming down the stairs is pefect with the way yu explained the setting. There is so much feeling here. Children have an innocents that just makes a photo fill with sensitivities...I hope there will be more people photos as well..Animals are always wonderful and so is most anything anyone finds special enough to take a photo of..but I am like you, I do love the people shots...check out my newest one(its called Bouquet of Wishes)....thanx for this lovely shot Paul !!

I love this shot. It was the first 10 i gave durring my run through the voting today. One thing that i would have liked to seen was the lens flare taken out. Sometimes they look cool, but this one is unfortunatly in a wierd spot. Anyways, i really like how the kid isn't looking at the camera. It looks amazing. Nice work.

I'm all for people shots..and I'm a real pushover for the animals :) This is a perfect example of a good people shot combined with the beautiful architecture. I like the angle of this photo and the curve of the stairway. Wonderful work you do Paul..thanks :*>

Exelent shot, and although i am no fan of flash images, the fill in flash was just needed here, otherwise the child would have been totaly blacked out against the sky and building.
Well done on the composition as well.
Thanks for sharing your work here at caedes !

Well, my dear friend Paul, this was on the main caedes page today and I knew it was your little one!!I had commented before, but at that time I didn't know he was "yours" lol What a treasure of a photo. Not only the outstanding old building but of course, the little guy walking down the steps. The only, only thing I would loved to have seen is his little feet since that's what you were mainly talking about, walking down icy stairs. I love people photos, wish there were more. I think people are afraid to post them, because evidently we need to ask the permission of the people we take photos of?(other then our family..lol) I loved seeing this photo again and realizing how much older your little boy is now. Thank you Paul, so much. I've learned a lot from your photography. Verena
