I was taking a walk and my dog starts wading the water, as usual. But then my eyes drift to this chunk of wood...and the first thing that comes to mind is an image of a crocodile. Well maybe it's just me, but it was a nice piece of wood, that's for sure.

It's not just you.. when I saw it I thought.. whoah.. that's one gnarly looking croc thrashing in the water. Then I noticed it wasn't thrashing. Then I noticed it wasn't a croc. Then I realized the pic is from Holland heh :-)

That's so weird I had to look, and I'm glad I did. Excellant job on the focus, this is really a sharp and clear photo. Great find too.

Technically superb and I don't mean that as a slight whatsoever. Rich and vibrant colours. Fantastic clarity of image.

What caught my eye, additionally, is the patterns that seem to form and emerge in the aquatic plantlife.

I don't know if it would have been possible to have captured such an overview, as I would have enjoyed seeing the detail and texture of the wood against those patterns and colours.

What? There are no crocs in Holland? Hmm, allow me to submit this image as evidence to the contrary.

Thanks for sharing your great work.

Certainly looks like a croc to me. He looks a bit more friendly than the live version though, seems to have a bit of a smile at the corner of the mouth to me...

Amazing find, Paul! And with the vegetation and reflections, you could almost believe that this was a bayou in cajun country in Louisiana.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeell, I'll tell ya what, if that ain't a croc it'll do till one comes along. Had I come walking by and suddenly saw that, you would have had to pull me out of the nearest tree branches.

I luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuv the clarity of the water and what ever it is soaking in it. Great rich color throuout the entire photo. What a neat find.

Yep looks like a croc to me. Like Pat, I would have jumped out my skin when I saw it. That water is so clear and clean looking. This is a great shot, you have a great imagination.

I love when you first see something that makes your heart stop, to only realize it's not what you thought at all. If only I had a camera every time that happens!
