Those are actually quite tasty. :) (I can't guarantee it 100% but it looks just like one sort I gladly pick and makes for a great addition to my cooking.)

Then you must have a big appetite: these are wider than your average plate!

The perspective works well, but I think the flower bush and the fence take away from the image.

My second 10/10 today ... Parasol mushroom or 'kania' in Polish. I would devour them all at once. Having fried them on dry frying pan or as I used to do in my childhood on vacation spent in the Morava upland [presently Czech Republic] on an old fashioned stove with fire burning inside ... I got so dreamy and nostalgic ... Thank you so much, Paul ...

Hey there Paul... I can somehow just see this photo....while you are leisurely laying on that lovely grass on the same level as the 'shrooms! Such an excellent photo! Makes my hungry tho, since I can devour mushrooms very quickly and with most anything....are they really huge? Wider than a plate? oh my gosh!! I wonder if a person can dry them and store them in jars? Gosh I love this pic! As per usual, you take a great great photo my friend!! Just wish we had some of this great stuff here in ORegon! I did find out there are many shrooms growing at the Coast...and I think Chantarelles are the main ones and EASY to see, so I might just give that a try SOON!...nice shot!!

What giant mushrooms you have! lol...the blue sky makes a beautiful background. I might have treid to shoot from the 'other' side to get rid of the bush, the tree and the fence wire or power line in the background. They detract from thebeauty of this image in my opinion.
I never knew these were edible muchrooms. Have you had them Paul ? Thank you for the cool post :~)

They look Gargantuan indeed! I notice that a few are beheaded, yikes! The one in the middle with the veil still attached to the cap and stipe is a nice capture!

From this perspective they look like... some of those savannah trees. If you get a chance, take a picture of mushrooms in a field at sunset (or sunrise) with the sun behind them... Or just set... well, I'm sure you'll get it right. Nice shrooms.

Great perspective.
It reminds me a lot of 'To Center of the Earth' by Jules Vernes. In it he describes a scene in a forrest of mushrooms.

I'd like to see you use these again. They do so resemble giants they could be taken out of this shot and placed on a field of mowed grass with a little picnic table placed in the shade under one of them to complete the effect and impact. I'm thinking Alice in Wonderland type stuff.

Gerritsen in wonderland, eh? You may not surpass Carrol as a writer, but you are going away better than him as an artist.

Well done!
