Here is my contribution to the Fantasy Landscape contest. I used Skipton Park by philcUK and Cottage in Glencoe by alzco as backgrounds and then added a new sky and all animals. All additions are from my own personal archive. I applied a total of 12 layers including the creation of all shadows. Will you let me know it was worth the effort?

WOW, that's sooo cool. I love it.....You should have put a cat into the eagle claws. That would have made PhilcUK and Prismmagic happy (see Discussioon Board/photography/20d replacement) hehe. Nice job, looks like you spent many hours on this one. Well worth it!!!!!

Paul- this definitely worth the effort!. You even have the shadows aligned perfectly. Such a pleasure to view this and good luck in the contest.. ( I think you only have to cross one set of fingers ) if you continue to produce masterpieces such as this.

Paul - I would if I could, but I cant. . .I cant find any reason this art was not worth the effort. I think your use of animals is delightful. The manipulation of perspective in the White rhinos and eagle must created a lot of eye rubbing. The effect looks natural, and has got that National Geographic look. Well Done & good Luck. Do more please.

Most definitely worth the effort! Everything works well and goes together quite seamlessly. Great job. May I ask, though, just what it is the eagle is holding? It doesn't look like a cat to me....

This is excellent Paul. You even gave the animals shadows...how appropriate and exact. I like how the bird has a small rodent in it's talons. That adds just the right amount of drama to this already dramatic creation of yours. Good luck in the contest my friend :~)

Its quite clearly a ferret.

Oh! the picture! Great stuff - not particually subtle or anything, but great nonetheless. I feel that there isnt really a focal point - because there is one everywhere - it just makes the overall composition look a tiiiiny bit forced togeather. Having said that, this is certainly one of the more interesting and exciting contest entries (in other words worth it).
Good luck - though you shouldn't need it.
Sam.

(Gotta love that ferret...)
