Where were you when I was doing a class lesson on arthropods? I'll just have to do that unit again just so I can share these amazing shots with the kids. You are an incredible photographer! I can't wait to see more.

Hi Paul, my this insect is remarkably designed, it's segmentation is seen in distinct detail, and you have made this possible with your skillful photography! This anthropod will make movie history! Seriously, the photo is very well done and that gorgeous sky of blue really defines him! Sincerely, Marilyn
Now this is a super image Paul! The special technique worked very well on this one. A diffuser on the flash works well for this type of image and gives a softer light that doesn't overpower the highlight areas. You can make one from a small translucent plastic bottle with the ends cut off and split down the side. Then just clip it over your popup flash. Very well done.

Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

Everyone is suddenly getting down to insect word! This shot I would rather place in macro category. I hope you will instruct us on the construction of the dragonflies as details are pin sharp, Paul. Can't wait to learn your secret...
Paul,
Just downloaded and blew this monster up on my 19 inch screen. Simply unbelievable!
I see from my messages I have more monster in queue. Oh, God, I'm not really a bug person.
