A windmill in the evening sun. As some of you already suggested this another photo with the new Canon EF-S 17-55 f2.8 IS USM lens. Actually that lens is so clear and sharp that the biggest challenge in a case like this is to maintain sharpness after downsizing the image.

Wonderfully composed, Paul. I especially like the angle - were you laying down shooting up or is that foreground grass just exceptionally tall? The sky really helped, too - very nice! - Patty

That grass in the foreground is reed, standing about 5 feet tall Patty!
Thanks for your comment,

Great image ... very well composed. The cloud sneaking in behind the windmill is an eyecatcher. Too bad those reeds weren't a wee bit taller, then the roofs of those cars would be out of sight. Don'tcha hate nit-pickers? Really well done cars or no cars.

Just an old "Grampa" who still has a Kodak "Box" camera kicking around the attic ... learning and enjoying the wonders of modern digital photography.

That's a great photo Paul. I really love the sky. Particularly because it is so free of noise or anything. It looks about like I would see it outside. I like the windmill also.

I love windmill pics.esp the old ones :) This is very nicely done. There's a sort of monochromatic theme going on on the ground in contrast to the colors in the sky. :)PJ

This is a nice, clear, crisp, very well composed picture with excellent color. It makes a great desktop! It has a lot of interest and makes one wonder about the scene. I like the way you've posed the cloud behind the windmill!
