Awesome sight Paul. I'd love to stay there and just roam for a while. What a great capture with terrific composition and beautiful sky and bird. Amazing. Thanks for sharing this one.
I'm way behind so forgive me for not commening on your individual posts but know that I've looked at all of them since I left. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita
Absolutely stunning, but that's what I've come to expect from you. The composition is unique and very effective and I love the bird. It gives even more life and interest to this picture.
unbelievable shot. how do you get things this sharp? it's the sharpest thing i've ever seen. i love everything about this except maybe the cars that are peeking out from the arch! and even that's not bad. could you walk out in front of the hotel or would you sink?

I wasn't expecting very much when initially looking at the thumbnail...but my jaw dropped when I opened your photo to admire the composition, colors, perspective and oh..that seagull. A fabulous photo Paul.
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

Amazing how the bird is just as important to this shot as the building. It's just great in every way. Think I'd hit those cars with the retouch tool, though.
What an interesting composition. The castle so close to the water level seems incredible. I hope you didn't fool around too long to get wet when the tide was high, did you Paul?
Wow - I want to go here! Was that hotel once a castle? I like that tower or turret. Interesting architecture - the old buildings were built to last. The angle of this photo is right on target. And it looks like the tide comes in close to the hotel. Excellent clarity. The sky is filled with puffy clouds, plus that lone seagull which catches ones eye. A marvelous image from a lovely hotel - many thanks Paul :*>
There is so much to this composition - the massive stone castle, lonely beach, awesome sky, the gull ... beautiful, and gives you such a feel of the place.
