You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Yikes - the small hall? Magnificent golden palace of a room! Amazing beauty with all those chandeliers. Excellent lighting on all the gold ornaments and those shining floors. Yup - just some simple ceilings LOL! Beyond just beautiful Paul. Thanks for this lovely image :)
Magnificent! Love the shadow on the cieling. The lines of light make it appear not to be quite level, but I think this might be due to the angle of the light coming through the window?
I don't know where to look first such a impressive picture, the ceiling is looking so wonderful and the light is doing a fine job here, in one word magnificent:))
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

I haven't seen such a wonderful indoor photography for a long long time. The way you have handled harsh natural lighting...I am speechless. I'm astonished at the beauty and technique.
"I decided that it was not wisdom that enabled [poets] to write their poetry, but a kind of instinct or inspiration, such as you find in seers and prophets who deliver all their sublime messages without knowing in the least what they mean."
--Socrates (in "Apology")
Paul, this is a fantastic shot! It's the kind I pray to Lord I'll be able to take! The perspective is perfect, lighting is just right, and, although the scene is as crowded as it can get, there's no confusion: everything is in order and even the details are revealed with clarity. Good for you!
It's absolutely amazing. I've been to Paris this summer and our accomodations were quite close to the Operahouse, on La Fayette. It's gorgeous from the outside and opulent and downright superb from the inside :)
