Paul, patiently waiting for a 'victim'. Great detail. Perfect image! Regards, Cornelius

Marvelous shot, Paul! I'd be interested in knowing what focal length is needed to shoot this close and how far away were you from the heron. Thanks, Paul.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I had it in the voting booth and wanted to see who posted it. I gave it a ten. Excellent shot.

We have many blue Herons here in ORegon, in fact, here on our little piece of land, there is a Wetland area nearby, and so often a big ol' Heron will swoop right over our land! They are so beautiful. I love how you got this look so close up of him.
He actually looks as tho he is smiling! And you captured the colours wonderfully too.I didnt know they had the Herons in Holland, but I'm glad you get to enjoy them too. Lots of hugs to you this day for a great posting my dear Paul...Verena
